Never Talk To Strangers!

I bet that was something you were told as a kid. I know I was.

But I’m gonna stick my neck out and say, I think we should talk to strangers more.

The other day I was sat in the hospital café when a couple of ladies asked if they could share my table. I said yes, and after a few minutes we got chatting.

One of them told me her kids always tell her off for talking to strangers. I laughed and said, “That’s what’s wrong with the world these days. Strangers are just friends we haven’t met yet!”

We’re so quick to keep our heads down, stare at our phones, and stay in our own little bubble. But sometimes the best moments come when you look up, smile, and say hello.
